About Music Forte's Origin
Grandmother, Louise Tryon, was mother to 14 children and each summer she needed something to keep her children busy. She wrote creative plays, taught music, and sewed together costumes for everyone. They invited family, friends, and neighbors to join their summer plays. Once the songs, dances, and stage were ready,
they performed!
The Tryon Summer Play tradition evolved under the inspiration of
Anna Phelps and Sarah Wilson (2nd & 3rd generation)
to create Music Forte LLC.
In 2012, the first show was performed in Mesa, AZ. Continuing the family legacy, Keeley Prestwich (2nd gen) is now the director and owner of Music Forte and is pleased to bring the
Fine Arts to Queen Creek and San Tan Valley.

Every child should have the opportunity to develop and improve their skills in the fine arts of singing, dancing, and acting. Through inspiring music and a positive atmosphere, each can grow in ways unimaginable! The word FORTE means “something in which a person excels”. We truly believe that all children can BE forte in their own way.

Show Etiquette
The cast has worked extremely hard this week. In order for them to do their very best, we have the following expectations.

Silence all Cell Phones, and No flash photography! This startles young actors. Feel free to take pictures and videos.

Take restroom breaks before the start and after the end of acts and musical numbers.

Please attend to crying children immediately.

Applaud loudly but do not call out individual names. The actors need to remain focused on stage.

Please do not block the views for other audience members with gifts for the actors.

Comments
I Lived!
Our summer camp theme this year is I Lived! Traveling is one activity that I hope everyone gets to experience at least once in their life. I truly believe that when we travel our eyes and hearts are opened to new dreams, possibilities, and culture. When I travel, I find myself loving the people, the food, the traditions, and most importantly, the valuable life lessons that it teaches me about inclusivity. Understanding the world better allows us all to find solutions, peace, and bring unity everywhere.
The cast worked together to build scenes of adventure, traditions, stories, and brought memories to come to life! This cast worked to learn new languages, types of dances, and broadened their cultural awareness too. I am so proud of their efforts and their resilience to try something new. Many of these campers are performing for their very first times, and have found they can do hard things together with our Music Forte Team! I'm also deeply grateful for my coaches Sarah, Kalana, and Cori for their time, effort, and dedication. This would not be possible without them. I value our youth volunteers as well! They have brought joy and laughter to our camp! It has been my pleasure to bring this production to the Southeast Valley, and I am excited to keep directing and producing for many more years to come!
